This Privacy Policy describes how Photobooth.io (the “Site”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses your information when you visit or use our photobooth services available at photobooth-io.cc (the “Site”) or otherwise interact with us regarding the Site (collectively, the “Services”).

For purposes of this Privacy Policy, “you” and “your” refer to you as the user of the Services, whether you are a website visitor, photobooth participant, or any other individual whose information we collect pursuant to this Privacy Policy.

Overview

We built this App with privacy and transparency in mind. Most features of the photobooth work entirely within your browser, meaning your photos and videos are not uploaded or stored on any external servers.

However, our Studio Mode (Beta): a feature designed for higher-quality photobooth sessions, temporarily uses Supabase to store media files securely before they are automatically deleted after a short period.

What We Collect

a. User-Generated Content (Studio Mode only)

When you use Studio Mode (Beta), and only with your permission, the App temporarily collects:

  • Photos and/or short video clips you capture during your session
  • Basic metadata such as timestamps and file IDs (used only for temporary file management)

All files are automatically deleted after 10 minutes and are never shared, analyzed, or reused. In all other modes, no content is uploaded, stored, or processed outside your device.

b. Analytics Data (All Users)

We use Google Analytics to understand traffic patterns and improve site performance. Analytics may collect:

  • Browser type and device information
  • Pages visited and time spent
  • Approximate location (based on IP address)
  • Clicks, navigation, and interaction data

All collected analytics data is aggregated and anonymized. We do not collect or store your photos, videos, or any identifying data.

c. Advertising Data (All Users)

This site uses Google AdSense to display ads and keep the service free for users. AdSense may use cookies or device identifiers to:

  • Show relevant (personalized or contextual) ads
  • Measure ad performance and engagement

Ezoic Services

This website uses the services of Ezoic Inc. (“Ezoic”), including to manage third-party interest-based advertising. Ezoic may employ a variety of technologies on this website, including tools to serve content, display advertisements and enable advertising to visitors of this website, which may utilize first and third-party cookies.

A cookie is a small text file sent to your device by a web server that enables the website to remember information about your browsing activity. First-party cookies are created by the site you are visiting, while third-party cookies are set by domains other than the one you're visiting. Ezoic and our partners may place third-party cookies, tags, beacons, pixels, and similar technologies to monitor interactions with advertisements and optimize ad targeting. Ezoic and its partners may use this data in combination with information that has been independently collected to deliver targeted advertisements across various platforms and websites. Ezoic’s partners may also gather additional data, such as unique IDs, advertising IDs, geolocation data, usage data, device information, traffic data, referral sources, and interactions between users and websites or advertisements, to create audience segments for targeted advertising across different devices, browsers, and apps. Data Sharing

We do not sell, share, or trade your photos, videos, or personal information.

  • Files uploaded via Studio Mode are temporary and deleted automatically.
  • Google may access anonymized browsing data under their Analytics and AdSense policies.

  • All communication with the Site uses HTTPS encryption.
  • Files uploaded through Studio Mode are automatically deleted after 10 minutes.
  • Analytics and ad data are managed and retained by Google according to their own terms.

While we apply reasonable security measures, no digital system can be completely secure. We advise users not to upload any sensitive or personal content.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Request deletion or access to your information (though we retain none long-term)
  • Opt out of personalized ads via your Google settings
  • Manage or delete cookies in your browser.

Since most operations occur locally and files are automatically deleted, there is typically no long-term user data stored on our servers.
